What did you want to be when you grew up?
I loved drawing and painting when I was little but became interested in broadcast journalism in high school. A few semesters into college an advertising assignment changed my career path and ultimately led to me switching schools.

You’re one of the longest tenured employees at Compass. How has the agency evolved since you first started?
Wow – so much has changed over the last seven years. We’ve grown from a wet-behind-the-ears, excitable puppy into a trusted, focused, experienced partner. It’s great to be a part of positive change and to have been able to keep our core culture intact along the way.

You recently switched to an iPhone. Do you have a favorite app yet?
I don’t know that I have a real “favorite,” but I do find myself using Urban Spoon and The Weather Channel app. I’ve played around with Color Splash for photo editing, but I’m looking for a better one.

If you were given a magic lamp that would grant you one wish and one wish only, what would you wish for?
Tough question… I’d have to say eternal happiness for myself and those close to me. Cash money would be nice but it wouldn’t guarantee our happiness.

What one piece of advice would the Clair of today give to the Clair of 10 years ago?
You can’t be everything to everyone. Concentrate on yourself first and things will fall into place.
