What’s your favorite Apple product? Application? Are you going to be one of the first to buy the new Apple iPad?
If I had to choose one, my favorite product would be the iPhone, because it has everything – music, phone, etc. My favorite application is probably Things for the Mac (and they have an iPhone app) – it’s a task manager. I’ve used a lot of task managers in the past but this one has stuck. I would say yes, I will probably buy the iPad, but I might wait for iPad 2.0 before I do.
What do you see as 2010 trends for digital or pharma marketing?
I think the FDASM meeting was a huge ignition point for Pharma 2010 strategy. I see MLR groups embracing new technology when/if the FDA provide some guidelines this year. I also think we’ll see more mobile integration to empower the remaining sales forces and improve existing RM campaigns for both patients and HCPs.
I also see 2010 as a year with more patient or disease education for pharma – in the past it seems the big pharma players have been spending a lot of time on patient education, but I see everyone getting into it now. Specifically, I think more companies will offer complete support programs rather than just selling a product/medication.
What do you read to keep looped in on digital and pharma marketing?
I read mostly blogs and twitter feeds. I like Web Strategy by Jeremiah Owyang, Dose of Digital, PharmaLive, and Pharma News by John Mack.
What are five things you can’t live without?
My wife, my son, my family, my guitar, and my MacBook Pro.
Do you have any resolutions for 2010?
This year I want to get fit. Having a son makes you realize that having a healthy future is that much more important. I’ve invested in a nutrition and wellness program for the year, and I’m taking my Wii Fit investment seriously for once.
